Mobile Health Teams Use Boats and 4WD Vehicles for Rural Residents
Mobile health teams are currently actively carrying out health aid missions to rural areas to ensure that residents there continue to receive proper medical access. This effort is being undertaken following the suspension of the 'Flying Doctor Service' (FDS), which previously served as the primary transport for sending doctors to remote areas.
To overcome these logistical challenges, authorities have deployed medical teams using four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles and boats. This step was taken to ensure that areas still accessible by land and river are not cut off from receiving basic health treatment.
These health teams carry medical supplies and essential medical equipment to treat patients in remote villages. Despite facing challenging geographical obstacles, health workers remain committed to providing the best service to the community in need.
This effort demonstrates the government's determination to look after the welfare of the people in rural areas. Authorities hope that the delivery of these health services can run smoothly until a long-term solution for air transport services can be decided.
