Malaysia Builds 'Silicon Island' to Strengthen Artificial Intelligence Industry
Malaysia is currently actively developing a mega-project known as 'Silicon Island'. This project involves an area of 2,300 acres specifically designed to become the nation's future hub for technology and innovation.
The main goal of building this island is to support Malaysia's ambitions in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). With advanced infrastructure in place, the government hopes to attract more foreign investment and international technology companies to establish a presence here.
The project is expected to be fully completed within the next decade. In addition to being a technology hub, Silicon Island will serve as a crucial research and development center to produce a skilled workforce in the digital field.
This move is seen as a vital strategy to strengthen Malaysia's position in the global technology supply chain. It will also create many new job opportunities for Malaysians, especially in the engineering and data science sectors.
Overall, the development of Silicon Island is a significant long-term investment for the country. If successful, it will transform Malaysia's economic landscape and position the nation as one of the key players in the global technology industry.
