Malaysia's Medical Device Exports to Brazil Surge
Malaysia's export sector has recorded positive growth as the value of medical device exports to Brazil shows a significant increase. According to the latest data from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the export value for this sector jumped by 66.1 percent in the first six months of 2026.
Based on the report, the total value of medical device exports to the South American country reached RM109.1 million. This increase reflects the high demand for Malaysian-made health products in the international market, particularly in Brazil.
This success is a positive sign for the national economy, especially in the government's efforts to diversify export destinations for local products. Malaysian medical device products are increasingly gaining trust globally due to their quality and standards that meet international requirements.
MATRADE is expected to continue supporting local companies in penetrating more overseas markets. With this continuous support, Malaysia hopes to strengthen its position as a major supplier in the global medical device industry in the future.
