Malaysia Committed to Becoming an AI Nation by 2030
The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has expressed its full commitment to supporting the national vision of becoming an 'AI Nation' by 2030. This initiative is part of the grand Malaysia Digital 2030 plan, which aims to advance the country's digital economy.
As the lead agency, MDEC will play a crucial role in driving industry support to achieve this goal. Their primary focus is to ensure that Malaysia's technology ecosystem is prepared to adapt artificial intelligence (AI) across various business and service sectors.
This step is being taken to enhance Malaysia's competitiveness on the global stage. By integrating AI technology, the government hopes to increase productivity, create new high-skilled job opportunities, and accelerate innovation among local companies.
Furthermore, MDEC will work closely with industry stakeholders to provide the necessary infrastructure and training. This effort is essential to ensure that the local workforce possesses skills relevant to the technological needs of the future.
Overall, Malaysia's vision to become an AI-driven nation is a strategic move for the future of the country's economy. With continuous support from the government and industry players, Malaysia is expected to be able to achieve its digital targets within the next six years.
