Analyst: Leaving the government is not a strategic move for DAP
Political analyst Phar Kim Beng stated that any effort by DAP to leave the unity government might not bring any benefit to the party. He believes that such an action would not reduce the political pressure currently faced by DAP.
According to his view, DAP might think that leaving the government would help them avoid the political costs of being a ruling party. However, this move risks causing the party to lose influence and support within the national administration.
Furthermore, the analyst explained that opposition parties like PAS actually need DAP to remain as an adversary. DAP's presence in the government provides space for the opposition to continue building their own political narrative.
Therefore, leaving the government is seen as a move that could weaken DAP's position. Conversely, such an action might further strengthen the politics of attacking the party by opponents who wish to take advantage of the situation.
In conclusion, the country's political stability depends on the cooperation between parties within the government. Any drastic change in the government coalition must be carefully considered to ensure that the interests of the people and the nation remain the priority.
