Malaysia's Medical Device Exports to Brazil Surge
Malaysia's export sector has recorded positive development in the international market as the value of medical device exports to Brazil has shown a significant increase. According to the latest data, the export value surged by 66.1 percent in the first six months of 2026.
Based on a report from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the total export value reached RM109.1 million. This figure indicates an increasingly high demand for Malaysian-made health products in the Latin American country.
This increase reflects the quality and competitiveness of local medical device products on the global stage. Furthermore, it also proves the effectiveness of Malaysia's efforts in penetrating new markets to diversify the country's export destinations.
Overall, this growth is good news for the national economy. The authorities hope that this positive trend will continue to strengthen Malaysia's position as a trusted major supplier of medical devices worldwide.
