Prime Minister: Corruption and Racism Remain Major Threats to the Nation

Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, recently reminded the public of three major threats that were identified in the 1970s. He referred to the '3C' concept, namely communism, communalism (racism), and corruption, which were considered the primary challenges to the nation's stability and progress at that time.

According to Datuk Seri Anwar, although the threat of communism is no longer relevant today, the other two threats—racism and corruption—remain prevalent. He emphasized that these issues must be addressed seriously to ensure a more harmonious and fair future for Malaysia for all races.

In his speech, he stressed that the practice of corruption is a primary enemy that can damage the country's administrative and economic systems. If corruption is not eradicated, it will hinder the government's efforts to bring positive change to the people and undermine foreign investors' confidence in Malaysia.

Furthermore, the issue of racism is also seen as a barrier to national unity. The Prime Minister urged all parties to avoid extreme racial sentiments because they can divide the multi-racial and multi-religious society in Malaysia.

In conclusion, this reminder from the Prime Minister is an important step to raise awareness among the people about their shared responsibility in maintaining the country's peace. Efforts to combat corruption and foster a spirit of unity among races remain the government's main agenda for long-term stability.
