Sabah Heart Centre expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2029
The Sabah Heart Centre, located at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital (HQE2) in Kota Kinabalu, is expected to be fully operational by the third quarter of 2029.
This project is a significant step towards improving the quality of healthcare services in the state of Sabah. With the establishment of this specialized centre, heart patients in the region will no longer need to be referred to Peninsular Malaysia to receive more complex specialist treatment.
This new facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment to accommodate the growing needs of patients. The hospital hopes that the centre will reduce waiting times and provide faster access to treatment for the local population.
The construction of this centre is part of the government's efforts to strengthen public health infrastructure in Malaysia. The authorities will continue to monitor the progress of this project to ensure it is completed according to the established schedule.
