Persada Initiative Strengthens Digital Connectivity in Government Hospitals and Clinics
The Ministry of Health Malaysia is currently actively implementing an initiative known as Persada to empower the nation's health system. This project aims to comprehensively improve digital connectivity across all hospitals and health clinics in Malaysia.
The main focus of the Persada initiative is to ensure that every health facility has stable and fast internet access. With this facility in place, the process of exchanging information between hospitals can be carried out more efficiently and effectively.
Furthermore, Persada plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR). This EMR system allows patient health records to be stored digitally, thereby enabling doctors to access a patient's medical history more quickly.
This digitalization step is expected to reduce paper usage and improve the quality of service at registration counters. Patients will no longer need to bring physical records because their data will be readily available online at any participating government facility.
Overall, the Persada initiative is a major step toward the modernization of the public health system in Malaysia. This effort is expected to provide long-term benefits to the public and increase the efficiency level of the national healthcare system.
