Sunway Medical Centre Supports National Health Screening Campaign
Sunway Medical Centre has recently taken a proactive step in supporting the non-communicable disease (NCD) screening campaign in Malaysia. This initiative involved comprehensive health screenings for 900 of their staff members as part of an effort to raise awareness about the importance of personal healthcare.
During the program, staff members underwent various essential health tests. Among the screenings conducted were blood glucose level tests, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and cholesterol levels. These tests are fundamental steps that are crucial for detecting the risks of chronic diseases early.
In addition to general screenings, female staff were also given special attention through women's health screenings. They underwent breast examinations and other relevant health tests to ensure the well-being of women in the workplace is well maintained.
This effort by Sunway Medical Centre is in line with the Malaysian government's goal to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases among the public. By initiating this step at the organizational level, it is hoped that it will serve as an example for other companies to also prioritize the health of their employees.
Overall, this screening program not only benefits individual health but also helps foster a culture of healthy living in Malaysia. Early preventive measures like these are the key to ensuring a healthier and more productive society in the future.
