National Archives of Malaysia Explores AI Technology for Historical Preservation
The National Archives of Malaysia is currently exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to empower efforts in preserving the nation's historical records. This innovative step aims to digitize and manage a vast collection of documents more efficiently and systematically.
The use of AI technology is expected to assist the archives in the process of categorizing information and restoring old, increasingly fragile documents. With this intelligent system in place, important historical data can be stored more securely for the reference of future generations.
Furthermore, this technology will make it easier for the public and researchers to access historical information online. Information retrieval processes that previously took a long time can now be performed much faster through AI-powered search systems.
This effort is part of the digital transformation being carried out by the government to ensure that the nation's heritage is not lost to time. It also demonstrates Malaysia's commitment to integrating modern technology to safeguard the country's treasury of knowledge.
Overall, this initiative not only protects Malaysia's history but also makes it more accessible to all levels of society. It is hoped that the use of AI will serve as a catalyst for the digitization efforts of other important documents across the country.
