Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Warning Across Malaysia This Weekend
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning expected to hit several states throughout this weekend. The affected areas include Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Johor, Selangor, Sabah, Sarawak, Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka.
This adverse weather condition is expected to impact outdoor activities and public travel plans. Authorities advise the public to remain alert to current weather changes, especially those planning vacations or tourist activities in open areas.
In addition, road users are urged to be more cautious when driving on highways to avoid any untoward incidents. Heavy rain can cause roads to become slippery and limit visibility, which in turn increases the risk of road accidents.
The aviation sector may also be affected by this bad weather. Passengers are advised to check their flight status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport to avoid any inconvenience.
The public is encouraged to stay updated through the official MetMalaysia website or the myCuaca application. The safety of yourself and your family should be the priority throughout this period of uncertain weather.
