Ministry of Health Offers Free Medication Delivery Service Starting October 1
The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has announced a new initiative that will benefit patients nationwide. Starting this October 1, the ministry will provide a free medication delivery service via post to all eligible patients.
This step is being taken to facilitate the process for patients who need to obtain follow-up medication supplies regularly. Previously, patients might have had to bear delivery costs or spend time traveling to hospitals or health clinics to collect their medication.
With the implementation of this free service, patients will no longer need to pay any delivery charges to receive medication directly at home. This initiative is expected to reduce congestion at hospital pharmacies as well as save time and travel costs for patients, especially those living far from health centers.
Members of the public who wish to obtain further information regarding this service are advised to consult the pharmacy at their nearest hospital or health clinic. The ministry hopes that this facility will improve the quality of life and the level of patient adherence to their medication regimens.
