Government Suspends MyEG and Zetrix Due to RM314 Million Revenue Arrears
The Malaysian government has taken firm action by suspending the services of MyEG and Zetrix as government revenue collection agents. This decision was made following the companies' failure to settle revenue payments amounting to RM314 million to the government.
According to reports, the arrears involve collections made over a five-month period, from May to September 2026. The failure to remit this substantial amount of revenue has led the authorities to take immediate suspension measures against both entities.
MyEG and Zetrix previously played a key role in processing various revenue collection matters on behalf of the government digitally. However, this payment issue has raised concerns regarding the efficiency of national revenue management within third-party collection systems.
For the time being, the government is conducting further investigations into the cause of the payment delays. Members of the public who use MyEG services are advised to monitor official announcements from the authorities to determine the next steps regarding their payment transactions.
