Nestlé Malaysia and Food Bank Malaysia Foundation Collaborate to Address Food Waste Issues
Nestlé Malaysia has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Food Bank Malaysia Foundation. This strategic partnership aims to empower food redistribution programs to assist those in need across the country.
This step is a continuation of Nestlé's long-term commitment to supporting social welfare. To date, the company has contributed products worth more than RM7 million through various food distribution and humanitarian aid initiatives.
Through this collaboration, both parties will work together more systematically to ensure that surplus food products can be channeled to underprivileged families. This initiative not only helps reduce the burden of the cost of living but also plays an important role in reducing food waste in Malaysia.
In addition to food aid, this partnership also focuses on efforts to increase awareness about the importance of food security. The Food Bank Malaysia Foundation will manage the distribution logistics to ensure that aid reaches the target groups more effectively.
Overall, this joint effort reflects a positive corporate social responsibility in facing current economic challenges. It is hoped that this initiative will provide significant benefits to affected communities and foster a culture of care among the Malaysian public.
