Claudia Sheinbaum inaugurates a new technical school with robots in Yucatán
The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, recently visited the state of Yucatán to inaugurate a new campus of the Industrial and Service Technological Baccalaureate Center (CBTIS). During the event, the president highlighted the importance of modernizing public education and adapting schools to the technological needs of the 21st century.
The most striking part of the inauguration was the presence of robots, which were part of the official presentation and showcased the students' capabilities. Sheinbaum explained that the main objective of these new centers is for young people to have access to advanced tools starting from high school. In this way, students will be able to practice with modern equipment before entering the workforce.
This new educational center has a special focus on science, engineering, and technology. Students will have the opportunity to learn about programming, robotics, and other digital areas that are fundamental in today's economy. The government aims for young Mexicans to be not only technology users but also creators and innovators in their communities.
In addition to the technological infrastructure, the president emphasized that education is a fundamental pillar for the country's development. With the opening of this CBTIS, the goal is to offer more quality spaces so that young people in the region can continue their studies and prepare for high-demand technical careers.
Finally, the federal government reaffirmed its commitment to continue investing in technical education throughout Mexico. It is expected that this teaching model, which combines theory with the use of cutting-edge technology, will be extended to other regions to reduce the digital divide and improve professional opportunities for new generations.
