CDMX Prosecutor's Office rules out crimes in the complaint against Maru Campos
The Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJCDMX) has announced an important decision regarding the complaint filed by Senator Javier Corral. After a review of the facts, authorities determined that there is insufficient evidence to charge Maru Campos, the current governor of the state of Chihuahua, with any crime.
The legal conflict began when Javier Corral, a member of the Morena party, filed a formal complaint against the governor. This confrontation has captured public attention due to the political relevance of both figures in Mexico. However, after analyzing the documentation, the Prosecutor's Office decided not to proceed with the charges requested by the senator.
Although an official summons was initially issued for Maru Campos to respond to the accusations, the judicial institution concluded that the reported actions do not constitute a crime. With this resolution, the capital's Prosecutor's Office rejects the possibility of initiating a criminal trial in this specific case, thus closing a stage of the dispute.
This news is significant for the Mexican political landscape, as it reduces the legal pressure on the governor of Chihuahua. For its part, Javier Corral's legal team has not yet confirmed whether it will seek other avenues to continue its claim. For now, the Prosecutor's Office's decision marks an end point to this accusation in Mexico City.
