Guanajuato: Authorities recover 46,000 liters of stolen fuel
Authorities in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, carried out a major operation against fuel theft. During the intervention in the municipality of Cortazar, agents managed to secure a large amount of illicitly sourced hydrocarbon.
In total, 46,000 liters of fuel were seized that lacked the necessary legal documentation. This type of activity represents a serious security and economic problem in several regions of the country, affecting both state-owned companies and public safety.
In addition to the seizure of the material, authorities confirmed the arrest of three people allegedly involved in this crime. The suspects were transferred to the offices of the Attorney General's Office to begin the corresponding investigations and determine their responsibility in the events.
This operation is part of a broader strategy to combat the black market for gasoline and diesel in the region. Security forces have increased surveillance in critical areas to reduce the impact of these criminal groups and avoid risks to the population.
Finally, authorities called on citizens to report any suspicious activity related to fuel handling. Through these actions, the government seeks to protect the nation's energy resources and ensure peace in the state of Guanajuato.
