FGR Clarifies There Are No Interpol Red Notices Against Sinaloa Officials
Mexico's Attorney General's Office (FGR) recently reported that there are no Interpol "red notices" against Enrique Inzunza or other officials from the state of Sinaloa. This clarification comes after several rumors and reports regarding possible international investigations involving Mexican politicians.
According to the FGR, there are no official requests to detain these public servants. Among the names mentioned in the reports was Rubén Rocha Moya, the current governor of Sinaloa on leave. The institution assured that the information circulating about alleged international arrest warrants has no legal basis at this time.
Rumors indicated that United States authorities might be interested in these officials for various reasons. However, the Mexican prosecutor's office explained that, after reviewing international cooperation systems, no record of an active search was found. This means that the officials have no travel restrictions from Interpol.
With this statement, Mexican authorities seek to provide clarity and transparency regarding the legal status of the Sinaloa politicians. For now, the government rules out any intervention by international police in this case, although the issue remains a significant point of discussion in the country's politics.
