Sonora offers reward for doctor following the death of four people
Authorities in the state of Sonora, in northwestern Mexico, have launched an intensive search to locate doctor Jesús Maximiano Verduzco Soto. The State Attorney General's Office (FGJE) issued a reward notice for anyone providing useful information regarding his whereabouts. The doctor is under investigation after being linked to the deaths of at least four patients.
The case centers on a private clinic where the doctor offered treatments known as "vitamin serums." According to preliminary investigations, the victims went to the medical center to improve their health but suffered serious complications shortly after receiving the injections. Unfortunately, four of these individuals lost their lives, prompting immediate intervention by judicial authorities.
Due to the gravity of the situation, the Prosecutor's Office decided to activate a financial reward to accelerate the suspect's capture. He is accused of crimes related to negligent medical practice and responsibility for the death of his patients. So far, the doctor has not appeared before the justice system, and his current location is unknown to investigators.
This incident has generated great concern among the residents of Sonora and has put the use of vitamin treatments without proper supervision under scrutiny. Health authorities have reminded the population of the importance of verifying that clinics and professionals have all the necessary legal permits before undergoing any medical procedure, no matter how simple it may seem.
