First picture of the Slovak killer after confessing to killing and dismembering three people
Slovakian Martin L., the suspect in a horrific triple murder in the city of Zwiesel in Bavaria, was arrested on Sunday evening at a train station in Linz, in a state of psychological collapse. He was later transferred to the psychiatric department of a hospital in Upper Austria (OÖ), where he confessed to committing the crimes.
The suspect was living in what is known as the "House of Chaos" in the town of Zwiesel, alongside nine other people in poor social conditions. The place was known among locals and police as the "House of Problems" due to the frequent incidents related to drugs, alcohol, and violent fights. In this house, the bodies of a 56-year-old man and two women aged 22 and 26 were found, with one of the bodies having been dismembered, and parts of it discovered inside the refrigerator.
Photos published of the suspect on social media show that he was living a chaotic life, appearing emaciated due to drug and alcohol use. In one photo, he stands in front of a shopping center in Zwiesel next to an expensive bike owned by an unknown party. In another photo taken at a German train station, he is seen raising his middle finger in protest against the ban on smoking cannabis.
The victims were found among tattered sofas, broken windows, and suspiciously owned bicycles, and the police now face a daunting task of sifting through large amounts of garbage and debris inside the house to uncover the details of the crime.
Martin L. is expected to be handed over to the German authorities soon. The presumption of innocence remains in effect until a final court ruling is issued.
