Free event helps expats in Eindhoven with Dutch healthcare
Many expats in the Netherlands sometimes find it difficult to navigate the Dutch healthcare system. To help them, a special event called 'Healthy Expats in Eindhoven' is being organized in Eindhoven. This initiative is intended to better inform international residents about how they can stay healthy and where they can go for medical help.
During the meeting, participants will receive practical information on various topics. The focus is primarily on preventive healthcare and a healthy lifestyle. Experts will speak about themes such as well-being, weight management, and the importance of a healthy daily routine.
In addition to general health tips, attendees will also receive an explanation of exactly how healthcare works in the Netherlands. For many expats, the system in the Netherlands is different from that in their own country, for example regarding the role of the general practitioner or taking out health insurance. This event offers a safe space to ask questions and seek advice.
The event is a valuable opportunity for the international community in Eindhoven to gain more confidence in managing their health. By sharing the right knowledge, the organizers hope that expats will feel at home more quickly and be better able to take care of themselves in their new living environment.
