Utrecht to become the global center of the cycling world in 2026
The city of Utrecht is preparing for a special event in the future. From September 27 to October 4, 2026, the city will be the international hub of the cycling world during Dutch Cycling Week.
This event attracts a lot of attention every year, but in 2026 it will take on an extra international character. Utrecht has been chosen as the place where cycling enthusiasts, experts, and professionals from all over the world will gather to celebrate and discuss cycling culture.
The choice of Utrecht is logical, as the city is known as one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world. During Dutch Cycling Week, there will be extra focus on the EuroVelo network, a collection of long-distance cycling routes that run throughout Europe.
With this event, the organization hopes not only to promote the sport but also to encourage the use of the bicycle as a daily means of transport. Visitors can count on a varied program featuring presentations, cycling tours, and innovative projects in the field of mobility.
With the arrival of this major event, Utrecht once again confirms its position as an important cycling city. For residents and tourists, the week in 2026 promises to be a unique experience that will put Dutch cycling culture on the international map.
