Air Force and ESET Netherlands strengthen digital security
The Royal Netherlands Air Force and the Dutch cybersecurity company ESET recently signed a letter of intent. With this partnership, both parties aim to increase the digital resilience of the Netherlands. The goal is to share knowledge and be better prepared for potential cyber threats in the future.
In the current era, digital security is of great importance to defense. Cyberattacks pose an increasingly greater risk to national security. By collaborating with a specialized company like ESET, the Air Force can utilize the latest technological insights and expertise in the field of digital security.
The collaboration focuses primarily on exchanging information about current threats. In addition, the parties will explore how they can jointly conduct research into new methods to better protect IT systems. This should lead to a faster response when an incident occurs.
This step fits into a broader development in which the government collaborates more frequently with the private sector. The expertise of companies is essential to keeping the digital infrastructure of the Netherlands secure. In the coming period, the Air Force and ESET will further develop the concrete plans for this partnership.
