Green Business Club celebrates anniversary: ten years of commitment to sustainability
The Green Business Club (GBC) is celebrating a special milestone this year. The national organization is ten years old, while its branch in Amsterdam's Zuidas district has been active for fifteen years. These clubs focus on making business parks and offices in the Netherlands more sustainable.
Since their inception, companies, government bodies, and knowledge institutions have been working together within the GBC to reduce their ecological footprint. By sharing knowledge and setting up joint projects, they aim to make the business environment in the Netherlands more environmentally friendly.
Eline Kik, one of those involved in the organization, emphasizes that sustainability is not always a straight line upward. According to her, the movement goes through different phases, but the power of collaboration remains the most important factor for success. It is precisely by joining forces that companies can take steps faster in the energy transition.
With these anniversaries, the organization looks back on the results achieved, such as reducing waste and making buildings more energy-efficient. In the coming years, the Green Business Club intends to further expand this approach to more locations throughout the Netherlands.
