Dutch and Belgian police cooperate against nuisance in border region
Police in the Netherlands and Belgium have launched a special partnership to tackle nuisance caused by young people. The operation took place in the vicinity of the villages of Clinge and Nieuw Namen, which are located directly on the border.
Residents in this region have recently complained more frequently about young people causing problems. Because the border runs right through the area, it is sometimes difficult for the police to take action. By joining forces, officers from both countries can now work together more easily.
The joint operation is intended to ensure more peace and safety for the residents of the border region. The police have stated that they want to work together in this way more often to effectively combat crime and nuisance in the border area.
It is not yet known whether any arrests were made during this evening's operation. The police will continue to monitor the situation in Clinge and Nieuw Namen closely in the coming period.
