New Tulip Fund brings top international scientists to the Netherlands
The Netherlands is getting a new fund to attract international scientists. The Tulip Fund was established in 2025 by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and the Dutch Research Council (NWO). This initiative is intended to ensure that the world's best researchers conduct their work in the Netherlands.
The main goal of the fund is to strengthen Dutch science. By inviting foreign experts, the Netherlands can compete more effectively on a global level. These scientists bring new knowledge and experience to our universities. This is not only beneficial for science itself, but also for innovation and the economy in our country.
The first international scientists will soon come to the Netherlands through this fund. They will have the opportunity to further develop their research here. These are top researchers who are among the best in their fields. For them, the Tulip Fund offers not only financial support but also a place in a modern and international scientific network.
With the arrival of these researchers, the government hopes that the Netherlands will remain an attractive place for talent. The Tulip Fund is seen as an important step for the future of Dutch research. In the coming years, it will become clear exactly what new discoveries this international collaboration will yield.
