Ongehoord Nederland starts new summer series on classical culture
The broadcaster Ongehoord Nederland (ON!) has started a new summer series this week called 'Cultureel Schatgraven' (Cultural Treasure Hunting). With this program, the broadcaster says it aims to bring 'high culture' back to the public broadcaster NPO.
In the series, the discussion of influential artists, writers, and thinkers takes center stage. The creators focus on major names from world history, such as film director Stanley Kubrick and the famous Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky.
In addition to these well-known names, other influential authors are also covered, including Franz Kafka and Jean Raspail. The series promises a deep dive into the literary and artistic works that have shaped Western culture.
The program is part of the broadcaster's summer schedule. In the coming weeks, viewers can expect various episodes in which these classical works and their significance for the present day are analyzed.
