Achmea invests in 110 new care homes for seniors in Hoogvliet
The Dutch real estate market is seeing a new development in the Rotterdam region. Achmea recently purchased 110 care homes in Hoogvliet from project developer Sustay. This acquisition is intended to address the shortage of suitable housing for the elderly in the Netherlands.
The homes are specially designed for seniors who wish to continue living independently for as long as possible. The design takes the needs of older residents into account, ensuring they can remain in their own familiar environment, even if they require more care or support in the future.
In addition to the physical homes, residents will have access to various amenities. These facilities are aimed at promoting the independence and well-being of the seniors. The project in Hoogvliet is therefore an example of how the housing market is responding to the aging population in Dutch society.
With this investment, Achmea aims to contribute to a better balance in the housing market. By making more care homes available, the elderly can continue to live in their own neighborhoods for longer. This project in Hoogvliet offers a practical solution for a growing group of people in need of comfortable and accessible housing.
