DJI Named Official Technology Partner for New Zealand Rugby League
The New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL) has announced a new partnership with DJI, the global leader in drone technology. This collaboration marks DJI as the official technology partner for the 2026 season, bringing advanced equipment to the sport.
As part of this agreement, the NZRL will gain access to DJI’s latest products, including high-quality drones and Osmo cameras. These tools are expected to improve how the league captures footage and analyzes player performance during training and matches.
This partnership comes at a significant time as the rugby community prepares for the upcoming Rugby World Cup. By using advanced camera technology, coaches and staff hope to gain a better perspective on the game, which could lead to improved strategies on the field.
Beyond professional training, the technology will also help the NZRL create more engaging content for fans. High-definition aerial footage and stable camera shots will offer supporters a new way to experience the sport, both online and during live events.
This deal highlights the growing role of technology in modern sports. As the 2026 season approaches, both the NZRL and DJI aim to set a new standard for how rugby is filmed and analyzed across New Zealand.
