Warkworth Business Gives Old Technology a Second Chance
A local technology company in Warkworth is helping the community reduce electronic waste by giving old devices a new life. LinkWave IT is currently collecting unwanted computers and other electronic equipment to repair and refurbish them for further use.
Many people often discard their old laptops and tablets when they stop working or become too slow. However, the team at LinkWave IT believes that many of these items can be saved. By repairing these devices, they are helping to extend the lifespan of hardware that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
For devices that are too damaged to be fixed, the company ensures they are handled responsibly. They focus on proper recycling methods to make sure that harmful materials inside the electronics do not damage the environment. This process helps keep New Zealand’s local environment cleaner.
This initiative highlights the growing importance of sustainability in the technology sector. By choosing to repair rather than replace, residents in the Warkworth area are contributing to a more circular economy where resources are used for as long as possible.
If you have old technology gathering dust at home, this service provides a practical way to clear your space while helping the planet. It is a simple step that shows how small local actions can have a positive impact on the environment.
