Pro-Palestine demonstrations across Norway today
Today, the Palestine Committee of Norway is organizing a series of demonstrations across the country. This is taking place as part of a global day of action where protesters are gathering to express their support for the Palestinian people.
The slogan for today's actions is "Stop the genocide, defend the land." The goal of the demonstrations is to shine a spotlight on the ongoing situation in the Middle East and to demand political changes in the handling of the conflict.
People are expected to gather in several locations in Norway throughout the day. The Palestine Committee is calling for peaceful demonstrations to show solidarity with the civilian population affected by the war.
The police and local authorities are monitoring the situation where the demonstrations are taking place. So far, there have been no reports of major disruptions to traffic or public transport as a result of the events.
Today's actions are part of a larger international movement. Similar demonstrations are being held in many other countries today to voice opposition to the acts of war in Gaza.
