New partnership to inspire girls to choose technology
The organization Girl Tech Norway has entered into a new partnership with the trade union Tekna. The goal of the partnership is to increase interest in technology and science among young girls in Norway.
Through this project, girls in the 5th grade will have the opportunity to learn about technology in a practical way. By working on concrete tasks, the students will explore how technology functions in everyday life.
There is a great need for more women in the technology industry in the future. By starting with education and practical exercises early on, the organizations hope to remove barriers and make the subjects more accessible to everyone.
The collaboration between Girl Tech Norway and Tekna is an important measure to ensure recruitment for technical professions. By giving girls a sense of achievement and knowledge early in their schooling, the foundation is laid for more people to choose a career in science later in life.
