Singaporean company has purchased property in Andøy
A company from Singapore has recently purchased a residential property in Bjørnskinn in Andøy municipality. The property, located on Bjørnskinnveien, was sold for 1.66 million kroner.
The company is primarily involved in the production of krill oil. Krill oil is a product often used as a dietary supplement, and it is extracted from small crustaceans in the ocean.
It is currently not known exactly what the company intends to use the house for. The purchase in Nordland has nevertheless attracted local attention, as it is unusual for international companies to invest in residential properties in small locations.
The sale price of 1.66 million kroner is in line with the market value for similar homes in the area. Local authorities have not yet provided any comments on what this establishment might mean for the local community.
It remains to be seen whether the purchase is the start of a larger investment by the Singaporean company in Norway, or if the property will merely serve as an office or a base for their operations.
