Norway can become a leader in medical technology
Norway has great opportunities to take a leading role in the global development of health technology. This was the main message from GE HealthCare's global head of research during the "Norway Life Science" conference, which was held in Oslo this week.
Experts believe that the combination of Norwegian research and industry can create a "life science revolution." Life science is about using science to improve human health, for example through the development of new medicines, advanced equipment, or better digital solutions for patients.
During the conference, representatives from GE HealthCare shared their advice with Norwegian authorities. They pointed out that Norway already has good prerequisites, such as high expertise and a strong focus on innovation. To succeed further, close cooperation between the state, hospitals, and private companies is essential.
If Norway invests correctly, the country can attract more international investment and create new jobs. This will not only strengthen the Norwegian economy but also contribute to ensuring that patients in Norway and the rest of the world have access to better healthcare in the future.
