Bad weather may ruin World Cup celebrations in Southern Norway
Many Norwegians are looking forward to tonight's World Cup match between Norway and France. Unfortunately, meteorologists are reporting challenging weather conditions for those planning to watch the match outdoors in Southern Norway.
Lightning, thunder, and heavy rainfall are forecast for large parts of the region this evening. This creates uncertainty for the many events where people have gathered to watch the football match on big screens under the open sky.
Authorities and organizers are asking people to be prepared for the weather to change rapidly. It is recommended to check local weather forecasts before heading out and to consider finding an indoor location if conditions become too demanding.
Although the weather looks bleak for outdoor screenings, interest in the match remains very high. Many are now choosing to move the football party to their living rooms or local pubs to avoid the rain.
It is currently unclear whether the storm will lead to any of the planned outdoor events being canceled entirely. The public is encouraged to keep an eye on updates from local organizers throughout the afternoon.
