Norway and Ukraine enter into new defense agreement on drone production
Norway and Ukraine have signed a new cooperation agreement to strengthen the military relationship between the two countries. The agreement was signed in Oslo on April 14 and marks an important step in the support for Ukraine in its defense against Russia.
One of the main points of the new declaration is closer cooperation on the development and production of drones. Drone technology has proven to be highly important in the ongoing war, and Norway now wishes to contribute its expertise in this field.
In addition to drone production, the agreement provides for a broader exchange of defense equipment and technological knowledge. This is intended to ensure that Ukraine gains access to the necessary equipment to strengthen its defense capabilities in the time to come.
The government emphasizes that this cooperation is part of Norway's long-term support for Ukraine. By working together on industrial production, both countries hope to create more effective solutions for future security challenges.
This agreement further strengthens the ties between Oslo and Kyiv. The cooperation will now enter a concrete phase where Norwegian and Ukrainian experts will work together to put the plans into action.
