KI Norge maps out the future of artificial intelligence in Norway
Hans Christian Holte, head of KI Norge, is currently working on mapping out how the organization will shape the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in our country. The work is part of a larger process to determine which areas require the most follow-up and support in the time to come.
Holte describes the situation as being characterized by "large gaps in the ranks." This means there are significant differences in how various sectors and companies in Norway are adopting new technology. While some environments are far ahead, others are still in an early phase.
The purpose of the mapping is to gain a better overview of the needs within Norwegian society. KI Norge wants to contribute to ensuring that the technology is used in a safe and efficient manner, so that both the private and public sectors can benefit from these new tools.
It has not yet been decided exactly which measures will be prioritized, but Holte emphasizes that the work of understanding the challenges is important. The goal is to create a common direction for how Norway should handle the rapid technological development in the years ahead.
