New hope for Tour of Norway in 2027
The organizers behind the cycling race Tour of Norway have received significant financial support. The Sparebankstiftelsen has granted two million kroner to the project, which provides new hope for organizing the race again in 2027.
In addition to the financial support, the organization has hired the well-known cyclist Alexander Kristoff. His experience and knowledge will help the team plan and execute a race that maintains a high international standard.
Tour of Norway has previously been an important event for Norwegian cycling. The goal of the new initiative is to revive the race and create a public celebration that brings together both cyclists and spectators across the country.
Work on preparing the race for 2027 is now starting in earnest. With both funding and key expertise in place, the organizers are optimistic about the possibilities of bringing the popular cycling race back to Norwegian roads.
