Norway and Ukraine enter into new defense cooperation agreement
Norway and Ukraine have signed a new defense agreement intended to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries. The agreement was signed in Oslo on April 14 and marks a closer bond during a challenging time for Ukraine.
One of the most important points in the new declaration is cooperation on the production of drones. Drone technology has proven to be highly important in the ongoing war, and Norway now wishes to contribute more actively to the development of this equipment together with Ukrainian partners.
In addition to drone production, the agreement provides for broader cooperation within the defense sector. This includes, among other things, the exchange of experience and technical expertise intended to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability in the face of the Russian invasion.
This agreement is part of Norway's long-term support for Ukraine. The government has previously pledged extensive military and civilian aid, and this new initiative shows that the cooperation continues to evolve to meet needs on the ground.
The cooperation between the two countries will now enter a more practical phase where the goal is to increase production capacity. Authorities in both countries express that this is an important step toward ensuring stability and defense in Europe.
