New partnership aims to get more girls to choose technology subjects
Tekna has entered into a new partnership with the organization Girl Tech Norway. The goal of the project is to increase interest in science and technology among girls in Norway.
Today, the gender balance in technological education is skewed. Figures show that fewer than one in three students who choose these subjects are women. This is a challenge for the labor market, which will need more expertise in technology in the years to come.
Through the partnership, the two organizations will work together to inspire more girls to see the opportunities that exist within technology. They want to show that science subjects are exciting and relevant for the future labor market.
The initiative is important for ensuring diversity in the technology industry. By reaching out to young girls early, Tekna and Girl Tech Norway hope to remove barriers and create a more inclusive culture for everyone who wants to work with technology.
