Singaporean company has purchased property in Andøy
A company from Singapore has recently purchased a residence in Bjørnskinn, located in the municipality of Andøy in Nordland. The property, located at Bjørnskinnveien 644, was sold for 1.66 million kroner.
The company behind the purchase operates within the production of krill oil. Krill oil is a product often used as a dietary supplement due to its high content of omega-3 fatty acids.
It is currently not known exactly what the company plans to use the house for. Nevertheless, the purchase has attracted attention in the local community, as it is unusual for international entities to buy residential properties in this part of the country.
Andøy municipality is known for its strong connection to fisheries and aquaculture. With its location near the sea, the region is attractive to companies working with marine resources.
It remains to be seen whether the acquisition marks the start of a larger investment by the Singaporean company in Northern Norway, or if the residence will be used for other purposes in connection with their operations.
