Singaporean company has purchased property in Andøy
A company from Singapore has recently purchased a residential property in Bjørnskinn in Andøy municipality. The property, located at Bjørnskinnveien 644, was sold for 1.66 million kroner.
The company behind the purchase is involved in the production of krill oil. Krill oil is a product often extracted from small crustaceans in the ocean, and it is an industry closely linked to Norwegian sea areas and the fishing industry.
It is not yet known what the company plans to use the residence for in the future. The purchase in the small village in Nordland has nevertheless attracted local attention, as it is unusual for international companies to invest in residential properties in this area.
The transaction shows that Norwegian properties can be attractive to foreign entities, even outside the largest cities. Local authorities and residents are now watching to see if the purchase will lead to new activity or business development in Bjørnskinn.
