New partnership aims to get more girls to choose technology subjects
Tekna has entered into a new partnership with the organization Girl Tech Norway. The goal of the project is to increase interest in science and technology among girls across the country.
Today, the gender balance in technological education is uneven. Figures show that fewer than one in three students in these fields are women. This is a challenge for the labor market, which will need more expertise in the future.
Through this collaboration, the two organizations will work together to inspire more young girls. They want to show that technology is an exciting field with many opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender.
The initiatives are intended to help more girls choose technological studies when planning their future education. By creating more engagement early on, they hope to change the statistics in the years to come.
