BYD invests heavily in fast charging in Norway

The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has major plans for the Norwegian market. The company has now hired a dedicated charging expert to lead the work of building out an extensive charging network for their vehicles.

In the first phase, BYD plans to set up 100 so-called "Flash Charging" stations around Norway. These are fast chargers intended to make it easier and faster for customers to charge their electric cars while on the road.

The initiative does not stop at the national borders. In the long term, the company's goal is to establish around 700 such charging stations throughout the Nordic region. This is part of a larger strategy to strengthen the brand's position in the Nordic electric vehicle market.

The development of the charging network is an important step for BYD, as access to good charging options is crucial for many Norwegian electric vehicle drivers. With these new stations, the company hopes to make everyday life more convenient for its customers.
