Chocolate prices are rising in Norway: Freia notes increased costs
Many Norwegians have noticed that the price of chocolate has become higher on store shelves recently. The well-known chocolate manufacturer Freia now confirms that they are experiencing significantly increased costs for the raw material cocoa.
The price of cocoa on the international market has risen sharply. This affects production costs for companies that make chocolate, and leads to consumers having to pay more for products in Norwegian grocery stores.
Despite the financial pressure, Freia emphasizes that they have no plans to change their recipes. The company rejects lowering the quality of the chocolate to save money, even though the raw materials have become more expensive to purchase.
The situation is being closely monitored by both the industry and consumers. It is currently uncertain how long the price growth for cocoa will last, and whether this will lead to further price increases for chocolate lovers in Norway in the time to come.
