New initiative to help Norwegian health tech companies
Norway Health Tech, the country's largest health technology cluster, has hired a new employee with a background in the bureaucracy. The goal of the appointment is to strengthen cooperation between technology companies and the public sector.
The cluster currently consists of over 350 member companies that develop new solutions for the healthcare system. By bringing in expertise from the public sector, the organization hopes to make it easier for companies to navigate complex regulations and public procurement processes.
For many technology companies, it can be challenging to understand how to sell their products to Norwegian hospitals and municipalities. The new employee will serve as a bridge-builder who can explain the needs of the healthcare system to entrepreneurs, while simultaneously helping authorities understand the possibilities inherent in new technology.
This initiative is part of a larger effort to promote innovation in the Norwegian health sector. By connecting the private industry more closely with the public sector, Norway Health Tech aims to ensure that patients gain faster access to modern and efficient digital tools.
There are high expectations regarding how this role will influence future developments. Many believe that closer dialogue between the bureaucracy and the technology communities is absolutely necessary to meet the future challenges of the Norwegian healthcare system.
