Bilawal Bhutto: No talks on 28th Amendment yet, focus is on budget

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has clarified that no discussions are currently taking place regarding the 28th Constitutional Amendment. Speaking to the media during his visit to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, he said that his party's entire focus is currently on negotiating budget matters with the government.

Bilawal Bhutto emphasized that the PPP has ensured equal representation of the provinces in the Supreme Court and the Federal Constitutional Court. He stated that it is not possible for the government to pass any constitutional amendment without the support of the PPP. He added that bringing transparency and improvement to the country's judicial system is among his party's top priorities.

Discussing the budget, the PPP Chairman said that his party is in constant contact with the government. He wants the upcoming budget to provide relief to the common man and ensure adequate funds for provincial development projects. He reiterated that the PPP will play its full role in protecting public interests.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also expressed deep concern over the rising inflation in the country. He said that inflation has severely affected the lives of ordinary citizens and reduced people's purchasing power. According to him, the government needs to take economic measures that reduce the burden on the poor and improve the economy.

In conclusion, he said that the PPP believes in the strengthening of democracy and the supremacy of Parliament in the country. He stated that they will continue to cooperate with the government for political stability to steer the country out of the economic and political challenges it faces.
