Trade volume between Pakistan and Iran can reach $10 billion
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has recently issued an important statement. According to this statement, by improving trade relations between Pakistan and Iran, the volume of bilateral trade can be increased to $10 billion. This target is of utmost importance for the economic development of both neighboring countries.
Pakistan and Iran share a long border, which provides many opportunities for trade. Experts say that if both countries simplify their trade policies and activate border markets, a significant increase in trade activities is possible. This will not only stabilize the economies of both countries but will also create new employment opportunities at the local level.
However, there are some challenges to achieving this goal. These include improvements in the banking system, customs duty issues, and better means of transportation. The business community demands that both governments take immediate steps to remove these obstacles so that the difficulties faced by traders can be resolved.
For Pakistan, increasing trade with Iran can prove to be very beneficial in the energy and agricultural product sectors. Along with the import of electricity and gas from Iran, Pakistan can also increase its exports of agricultural products and textiles.
In conclusion, it can be said that if both countries promote cooperation at the political and diplomatic levels, achieving the $10 billion trade target is not a difficult task. This will bring economic stability to the entire region and improve the standard of living for the people of both countries.
