Digital Vaccination Certificate Made Mandatory for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims
The Ministry of Health of Pakistan has made an important announcement for citizens traveling for Hajj and Umrah. Starting September 15, it will be mandatory for all pilgrims traveling from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia to carry a digital vaccination certificate. This decision has been taken to ensure the health of the pilgrims and to comply with international travel regulations.
According to the authorities, only those vaccination certificates that are linked with the NADRA system will be acceptable. Pilgrims have been instructed to check their records on the NADRA portal before traveling to avoid any inconvenience.
The purpose of this new regulation is to prevent the spread of coronavirus or other diseases during travel. Passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia have been advised to keep their vaccination cards in a digital format with them to facilitate the immigration process at the airport.
The government has issued instructions to all relevant institutions to make this process transparent and easy. Pilgrims can also obtain information regarding this from their nearest NADRA centers. This step is an effort to make travel facilities between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia more secure.
